Duties of a Nurse/Caregiver light cooking, sandwiches tea porridge light soup etc ( no heavy cooking), laundry, make bed sweep & mop patient's immediate area. If patient is mobile assist them with day to day tasks, ( do not take away their independence). Bedridden patients ( bed bath, hygiene care). Keep patient company when necessary ( engage in meaningful conversations, keep personal & professional life separate.Take vitals, observe patient improvements. The patient care is only for the patient and not extended to guests or family members. The nurse can use discretion for the medical aspect and roles & responsibilities of the patient.The caregiver reports directly to the agency and must provide care to the best of their ability for the patient. The patient care is number 1 priority.
