  • Petroleum Operations Engineering Vacancy
    This position reports to the Managing Director with duties and responsibilities that involve liaising with the relevant Field Operations Planning Co-ordinator & Technical Assistants to adequately Inspect, Evaluate, Design, Service, Document, Install and Commission fully functional Systems which meets the industry’s requirements to Enhance the Operational Effectiveness, Efficiency and Profitability of the Organization.Responsibilities & Duties shall include the Requisite Task and Activities:- Technical Planning, Engineering, Well Completion Design, Scheduling, Coordination, Installation, Commissioning, Monitoring, Evaluation, Costing, Documentation & Supervision of all Petroleum Field Operations Resources & Services to achieve the Organization’s Strategic Objectives.- Complete, Accurate, Timely, Decision Useful Petroleum Operations Management & Statutory Reporting to Stakeholders (e.g. Directors, State Oil Company, Ministry of Energy, EMA, OSHA, Fire Services, etc.).- Liaising with Energy Stakeholders to Support Oil Field Equipment Installation, Commissioning & Operations Optimization.- Supervising, Managing & Co-ordinating all Geological & Support Activities on Drilling, Workover, Swabbing & Coil Tubing Rigs including Logging QC Audits, Advising on Procedures, Techniques & Interpretations.- Assimilate & Perform well correlations, real-time performance analysis, production data/pressure monitoring.- Preparation of Daily Petroleum Well Programs & Field Operations Reports.- Overseeing the Performance of all PCP Completion Maintenance, Troubleshooting, Repairs and Modification of all Mechanical Equipment & Instrumentation to ensure reliable operations.- Conduct all Petroleum Engineering Field Operations Site Visits, Marketing, Sales & Tenders/Bid Proposals.- Conduct Site Visits, Job Inspections, Evaluations to Ensure Preventative Maintenance Compliance.- Conduct Training & Development, Operational, Information Systems & Quality Assurance Audits to effect continuous improvement and consistent customer satisfaction within the organization via the Implementation of Corrective Action & Preventative Measures.- Adopt a proactive approach to enhance Management’s Effectiveness, Operational Efficiency and Profitability via the Implementation of Management Information Systems, Engineering Planning & Design, Reliability Inspection, Quality Assurance & Quality Control Measures.- Developing, Implementing & Overseeing a Predictive/Preventative Maintenance Management System to Eliminate and Control Risks associated with the Operations of Artificial Lift Systems, Oil Field Completion Equipment, Tools & Pumping Systems.- Conducting QHSE Inspections, Risk Assessments, Operational Audits & Documentation as required by the Integrated ISO Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Management Systems. The Minimum Requirements for the Position include:- Possession of a Bachelor of Science or Masters Degree in Petroleum or Reservoir Engineering.- Professional International Designation or Certification in Petroleum or Reservoir Engineering.- A minimum of Ten years exposure to Petroleum Operations, Reservoir Engineering & Completions Systems.- Experience with Reservoir, Drilling & Completions Operations Planning & Logistics Co-ordination, Ministry of Energy Regulatory Requirements and Joint Venture Agreements.- Structured Organizational Leadership Skills in Managing Petroleum Engineering Operations Staff and Training & Development of Field Operations Services Resources.- Working knowledge of Control & Instrumentation Devices and Completion Equipment.- Ability to read Petroleum Oil Well Logs and Design Completion Systems.- Knowledge of Artificial Lift Completion Systems (Progressive Cavity Pumps) & Equipment Maintenance.- Experience in Risk Assessment, Root Cause Analysis & Preventative Maintenance.- Familiarization with the Energy Industry PLEA, ISO Quality & HSE Policies and Procedures.- Exposure to Basic Onshore HSE Training Course which cover topics pertaining to: Safety Induction, Preventative Maintenance, Safe Working Practices, Safety Management – Safe Process, First Aid, Manual Handling, Defensive Driving, Fire Fighting & Self Rescue Techniques, and Confined Space Entry.- Strong Microsoft Office Computer Application Proficiency & AutoCAD or SoildWorks Simulation Knowledge.- Proficiency in Petroleum Engineering Planning, Completion Design and the Art of Negotiation & Persuasion.- Strong Technical/Analytical Skills with a Proven ability to Interpret & Integrate Complex Datasets.- Advanced Problem Solving, Change Management, Project Management & Conflict Resolution Skills.- High Level Technical Written & Verbal Communication SkillsThe compensation package offered will be commensurate with qualifications and industry experience.Interested applicants should e-mail their cover letter and resume to: hydrocarb.engineering@gmail.comAttn: Mr. Anton Paul, Re: Petroleum Operations Engineering Vacancy.
