    What we are seeking at iBot Company Limited:"A self-motivated Surveillance Alarms Technician seeking a position in a growing but challenging environment.Job Purpose:The Alarms Service and Security Technician is responsible for performing skilled security technician work in the installation, service and repair, alteration, and maintenance of all security related systems to include access control, CCTV, IP Video and alarm/intrusion deterrent systems. Resolves immediate operational and/or safety concerns and participates in preventive maintenance programs as directed.List of Duties: • Establish good working relationships with vendors and contractors pertaining to Smart Home Security Systems.• Assess sites, design and provide recommendations for iBot’s Smart Home Security Systems.• Install hardware and software where necessary in regards to Smart Security Systems.• Evaluate, diagnose, and troubleshoot systems and performs repairs or re-installations as necessary. • Performs upgrades and additions to existing systems in order to increase functionality and usability. • Configure and install analog and digital Smart Security Systems as needed• Support users of CCTV and Smart Security Systems.• Configure Smart Security Systems on Smart Devices.• Troubleshoot cameras, DVRs, NVRs, computers, laptops, smart televisions, peripherals, other hardware and software.• Provide technical support to end users covering all software and hardware related issues.• Liaise with supervisors to receive areas of concentration and special assignments.• Request and maintain equipment and supplies for technical inventory and ensure availability of required items. • Transport a variety of items (e.g. tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) to ensure availability of materials required at job site. • Performs Smart Device programming entry as required to add Smart Security cameras, access control devices, and intrusion deterrent systems as needed.• Informs personnel about procedures and / or status of systems to provide necessary information for making decisions, taking action, or complying with health and safety regulations.• Perform all delegated tasks assigned by Technical Supervisor and Information Services Management.• Responds to emergency situations during or after duty hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety/security concerns. • Provide daily reports on job duties• Adhere to Corporate standards and guidelines as stated in departmental training manual.Requirements and Experience:• Minimum 5 O’ levels including Mathematics and English language• Preference will be given to candidates with 4 years related technical experience in similar capacity.• Familiarity with a wide range of tasks and technologies related to security systems, to include pulling cable, installing various devices to include, glass breaks, motion detectors, magnetic locks, card readers and cameras, programming security / access systems, low voltage background and testing, troubleshooting and inspecting these systems.• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy.• Mechanical Aptitude• Ability to understand and follow instructions precisely.• Ability to work independently or in a team focused environment.• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.• Able to pass a criminal background check and supply police certificate of character.Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:Work will generally take place during the day shift hours; special circumstances may require weekend or shift work. Work may include travel within Trinidad and Tobago. Work can take place both indoors and outdoors. The job may include extended periods of standing, lifting of heavy objects, or repetitive tasks and the use of lifts, ladders, or scaffolding.
